Minnu Mani-led India A women's team will be taking on Charli Knott's Australia A women's team in the Only unofficial Test which is being played at the Gold Coast, starting from August 22 (Wednesday). Indian bowlers stole the show on Day 1 as they bowled out the hosts for a paltry score of 212 runs. Captain Minnu Mani and Priya Mishra together grabbed 9 wickets and broke the back of the Aussie team. Mani picked up a stunning fifer and got support from Mishra who picked a four-wicket haul. Meanwhile, Mannat Kashyap had to settle with one wicket.

 

AUS crumble for 212

 

Things started well for the Aussies as their opener joined a 56-run opening stand but from there they kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. From 56/1, they were down to 94/5. Georgia Voll was the sole Aussie batter that managed to score a fifty but her innings came to an end at 71 runs. No other batter could score a big knock and as a result, they fell down the score of 212 runs. Indian bowlers especially Minnu Mani and Priya Mishra thrashed the Aussie line-up.

Priya Mishra continues good performance

 

Priya Mishra delivered a match-winning performance with a five-wicket haul in the third ODI against Australia A Women as well. She played a key role in ending their losing streak in the series and snapped a five-match losing streak with a resounding victory in the final ODI.

 

India stand strong at stumps

 

The Indian team lost an early wicket but eventually bounce-backed and managed to post 100/2 by the end of day 1. Currently, Shweta Sehrawat and Tejal Hasabnis are still standing on the ground. Shweta is batting at 40 and Tejal is unbeaten at 31. Both of them would like to put India in a commanding position on Day 2 and help them gain good lead.
