India vs Australia 1st Test will take place at The Optus Stadium in Perth.

Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 is scheduled to start from November 22.

India veteran Test batter Cheteshwar Pujara advised young batter Shubman Gill to be clear about his shots while batting in Australia during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 which is scheduled to start from November 22. However, Gill who is the part of India's squad is currently recovering from a fracture he got while fielding at WACA. Gill will most likely to miss the first Test match which will be played at The Optus Stadium in Perth.

Pujara was India's key player during last two Test tours of Australia but the experienced batter missed his spot in Rohit Sharma-led squad. Pujara also said that Gill should back his style while featuring against the Baggy Greens.

"Shubman has already played Tests in Australia. He has experience of handling those conditions. He should back his style and play according to it. But he needs to be clear about which shots to play and which ones to avoid because you can’t play many of the shots in Australia that you play in India" said Pujara on Star Sports.

"He needs to assess his strengths and identify the shots he must avoid. But he is a very talented player with a wide range of shots in his repertoire. Still, in Australia, you often have to avoid many shots. He needs to identify and avoid those" added Pujara.
