Rajasthan Royals' star all-rounder Riyan Parag finally received his maiden Team India call-up after BCCI announced a 15-member Indian squad for the upcoming 5-match T20I series against Zimbabwe. He is one of the five players that can make their potential debut in this series. He was a prominent part of RR's campaign in the recently concluded edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, which also granted him this big opportunity.

 

Riyan Parag's first reaction

 

The star player shared a post from his official ‘X’ account formerly known as Twitter. The post stated ‘Dare to dream’ and also had an evil eye symbol on it. The post is now going viral all across the social space at a rapid pace. Riyan Parag scored 573 runs in IPL 2024 with an astonishing strike rate of 149.22 and an average of 52.09. His consistent performance helped RR reach the playoffs.

Recently, Parag made a lot of headlines for his comments about not watching the T20 World Cup 2024 following the Indian squad snub. However, many believed he deserved a spot in the Indian team going for the mega tournament in the United States and West Indies.

"The Men’s Selection Committee has picked a 15-member squad for the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe. India will visit Harare in the first week of July to participate in a 5-match T20I series against the hosts," said BCCI in their official media release.
