To commemorate 75 years of diplomatic ties between India and Japan, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Japan Cricket Association (JCA) have officially announced a landmark men's T20 International fixture.

The fixture marks the grand opening of 'Sport 75', a bilateral initiative born out of a summit meeting between Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.
