India's ODI World Cup 2025-winning all-rounder Deepti Sharma became the first Indian player to find a franchise in The Hundred's inaugural auction. Deepti was roped in by Sunrisers Leeds at her base price of £27,500 (Rs. 34 lakh approximately).
When comparing it to her fee in the Women's Premier League (WPL), it is just over 10 per cent. In the mega auction, she was signed for a whopping Rs 3.2 crore by UP Warriorz. Earlier, Deepti had played for London Spirit in The Hundred.

The only other Indian sold in The Hundred auction was wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh. Manchester Super Giants acquired her services for £50,000 (Rs. 61 lakh).

Richa will join India opener and vice-captain Smriti Mandhana at Manchester Super Giants. Mandhana was pre-signed for £90,000 (Rs 1.1 crore). The other Indian in The Hundred is Jemimah Rodrigues who was pre-signed as well. Jemimah went ton Southern Brave for £60,000 (Rs 74 lakh).
India’s Yastika Bhatia, Pooja Vastrakar, Kashvee Gautam, Shikha Pandey, Shreyanka Patil, Arundhati Reddy, Nandani Sharma, Asha Sobhana, Radha Yadav did not find any takes at the auction.
No takers for Pakistan players
Meanwhile, the only two Pakistan players who were shortlisted for the auction – Fatima Sana and Sadia Iqbal – went unsold in the auction. Earlier, the England Cricket Board (ECB) and The Hundred had released a statement that players will be picked on the basis of merit, not nationality or religion.
Costliest buys at the auction
New Zealand's Sophie Devine and Australia's Beth Mooney attracted highest bids at the auction. Sophie and Beth were sold for £210,000 (Rs 2.59 crore). Sophie will join Welsh Fire whereas Beth will play for Trent Rockets. The second on the list is England all-rounder Dani Gibson who went to Sunrisers Leeds for 190,000 (Rs 2.34 crore). The English all-rounder is followed by Nadine de Klerk. The South Africa all-rounder will play for London Spirit in the upcoming season. Her services were acquired for £170000 (Rs 2.1 crore).
