Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan faced an injury during a National T20 Cup match between Rawalpindi and Sialkot. As captain of Islamabad, Shadab had an unusual exit from the field after sustaining an injury while fielding, captured in a viral video where he was carried off piggyback style by a teammate.
Fans expressed concern about the apparent lack of facilities at the stadium, questioning the circumstances leading to such an unconventional exit for the injured player.
The injury occurred when Shadab, who bowled two economical overs, stepped on the ball while fielding. On-field physios assessed the injury and applied an ice pack to his left ankle. Further evaluations were planned to determine the extent of the injury.

Despite the setback, a later video surfaced showing fans taking selfies with the injured player, highlighting the accessibility of cricket stars among fans.
Shadab Khan, who last played for Pakistan during the ODI World Cup, faced disappointment as the team failed to qualify for the semi-finals. Despite serving as Babar Azam's deputy during the World Cup, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) appointed Shaheen Afridi as the new captain of the T20I team, sidelining Shadab.
The PCB also excluded Shadab Khan, along with other players like Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Usama Mir, and Iftikhar Ahmed, from the Test squad for the Australia tour. The selectors opted for a different combination after the ODI World Cup.
Shadab Khan's recent injury adds a new dimension to his cricketing journey, and fans await updates on his recovery and potential return to the field.
