Jay Shah makes historic announcement, BCCI to give 7.5 lakh per match fee and whooping 1.05 crore to cricketer playing all IPL league matches

In a historic move, the BCCI decided to give players a match fee of Rs 7.5 lakhs per game, regardless of the amount they fetch at auction. Jay Shah, the secretary of the BCCI, made the huge news on X. In addition to their stipulated salary, players who appear in every match will receive an additional Rs 1.05 crore, according to the BCCI official. The teams will set aside a total of Rs 12.60 crore for player match fees.

 

"In a historic move to celebrate consistency and champion outstanding performances in the #IPL, we are thrilled to introduce a match fee of INR 7.5 lakhs per game for our cricketers! A cricketer playing all league matches in a season will get Rs. 1.05 crores in addition to his contracted amount. Each franchise will allocate INR 12.60 crores as match fees for the season! This is a new era for the #IPL and our players!" Jay Shah wrote on X.

The BCCI will also soon be announcing the rules and regulations for the upcoming IPL 2025 auction and the retention policy. The Indian Cricket Board will also be doing A IPL Governing Council Meeting in Bengaluru on Saturday (September 28).
