The Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) men's selection committee has announced India A 's 15-member squad for the upcoming Rising Stars Asia Cup tournament that is set to be held in Qatar from November 14 to 23. Jitesh Sharma has been handed the leadeerhsip while Punjab all-rounder Naman Dhir has been named as his deputy.
India's strong batting depth
The team also includes of players like Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Priyansh Arya, who burst onto the scene in IPL 2025. They can turn out to be major problems for the opposing bowling attacks in the upcoming competition. The selectors have opted to go for quite a b it of batting depth with the likes of Nehal Wadhera, Abhisek Porel, Ashutosh Sharma, Ramandeep Singh included alongside all-rounders Suryansh Shedge and Harsh Dubey.
Coming to the bowling department, the Men in Blue have opted to go for pacers Gurjapneet Singh, Vijay Kumar Vyshak and Yudhvir Singh Charak while Suyash Sharma has been included as the spin option. A 5-member stand-by list has also been chosen by the selectors for the tournament.
Meanwhile, Jitesh had recently made an impressive return to international cricket in India's third T20I of the five-match series against Australia in Hobart. He formed a key partnership of 43 runs alongside Washington Sundar and remained unbeaten on 22 as the visitors chased down the 187-run target with 9 deliveries left to spare, levelling the series at 1-1.

On the other hand, Suryavanshi has had a dream 2025 where he not only made his mark in the IPL, but also made a strong impression during India U-19's tour of both England and Australia. He slammed centuries in both the tours and will be looking to continue his red-hot form in the Rising Stars Asia Cup.
