Glamorgan had a forgettable outing at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff as they lost the match within two days after getting bowled out for 69 and 65 in first and second innings respectively. Warwickshire registered a thumping win by an innings and 257 runs to top the County Championship Division One 2026 points table. While Ethan Bamber and Ed Barnard took the majority of wickets, India's left-arm spinner Manav Suthar did not concede a single run and took three wickets in his fourth game for Warwickshire.
Glamorgan skipper Kiran Carlson won the toss and opted to bat first. Bamber wreaked havoc with fifer as Glamorgan were bowled out for 69 in just 26.3 overs. Colin Ingram was the only batter who scored in double digits with a run-a-ball 19. Barnard bagged three wickets whereas Suthar wrapped up the proceedings with Miraz Hamza's wicket off the third delivery he bowled.

In reply, Warwickshire posted 391 on the board. New Zealand opener Will Young (60), Sam Hain (76), skipper Barnard's half-centuries and Kai Smith's unbeaten 49 helped them take a sizeable 322-run lead. Suthar contributed witha  23-ball 16 featuring two fours and a six.

In Glamorgan's second innings, Barnard wreaked havoc with a five-wicket haul. Suthar bowled two wicket-maidens as Glamorgan were bowled out for 65 in 26.1 overs. The left-arm spinner's wickets in the second innings were wicketkeeper-batter Chris Cooke and Jamie Mcllroy.
Warwickshire are currently placed at the top with 184 points to their name.Â
