The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a 15-member squad for the first two ODIs against New Zealand. The matches are part of a three-game series, and the selectors have decided to keep the same squad that recently beat Pakistan 2-1 in a historic series win last month.
The first two matches will be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on April 17 and 20. The final match of the series will take place on April 23 in Chattogram.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz will continue to lead the side. The squad includes experienced players like Litton Das, Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam. There are also some young players in the team, such as Rishad Hossain and Nahid Rana, who will be looking to make an impact.

However, there are some concerns as key batters Saif Hassan and Atif Hossein have not been in good form recently. Their performance will be important in this series against a strong New Zealand side.
At the moment, five players from the squad, Nahid, Mustafizur Rahman, Shoriful, Rishad and Tanzid Hasan, are playing in the Pakistan Super League 2026. They are expected to join the rest of the team on April 12.

In the ODI rankings, Bangladesh are currently placed at number 9, while New Zealand are at numer 2, just behind India national cricket team. New Zealand come into this series after beating India 2-1 in their last ODI series, and they will look to carry that form forward. However, they will be without some of their main players, as those players are busy playing in the Indian Premier League.
