Indian batting maestro Virat Kohli is hailed as one of the greatest cricketers of all time. He has inspired not only fans but also many modern cricketers across the world. When New Zealand women's cricketer Xara Jetly said that she wanted to take a picture with the mystical Indian batter, it was proven once more. Jetly, who has not yet made her international debut, recently appeared on a podcast and talked about how much she admires Kohli. The off-spinner, who is 22 years old, was asked to select one male and female cricket batter that she would like to face.

"If you could bowl to any two cricketers; one from the men’s game and the other from the women’s, whom would you bowl to?" a co-host questioned Jetly on ‘Fine Legs — The Cricket Podcast’.

The young bowler, who plays for Wellington Blaze in New Zealand's domestic cricket, chose Kohli right away from the men's game. Xara Jetly also talked about her goal of taking a picture with Kohli and posting it on Instagram. She said “Yeah, this is really basic for me. I’d bowl to…the women’s game is tougher, but in the men’s game, I wanna bowl to Virat Kohli. If I could take a photo with Virat Kohli and put it on Instagram, that would be the GOAL.”

In the final match at Eden Park in Auckland, they used the DLS method to defeat Canterbury by one run. Jetly took nine wickets at an exceptional economy rate of 5.59 in her 10 tournament appearances.

Xara Jetly’s team Wellington Blaze, came in second place in the one-day competition. Jetly played in 11 games and took 17 wickets at a rate of less than four. Jetly has been consistent in domestic cricket, but she hasn't been called up to the New Zealand women's team yet.
