PCB announces schedule for tri-series.

Pakistan will face South Africa and New Zealand.

The series will help them in Champions Trophy preparation.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) released the schedule for the forthcoming ODI tri-series against South Africa, New Zealand, and Pakistan on Saturday, January 25. Starting on February 8, 2025, the series will help all three sides prepare for the much-awaited ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Teams will only play each other once during the triangular event, with the final set scheduled for February 14.

The first game between Pakistan and New Zealand is scheduled for February 8 at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium. On February 10, South Africa will also play the Kiwis there. The National Bank Stadium, which will also host the final on February 14, will host the Pakistanis' next matchup with South Africa on February 12.

With victories in their last two away series against South Africa and Australia, Pakistan is riding high heading into the series. However, having defeated Sri Lanka 2-1 at home earlier this season, New Zealand is also entering the series on a winning note.

In addition, the series would provide the PCB a chance to show off their renovated and refurbished stadiums to the cricket community in advance of the Champions Trophy, which will also be held in Pakistan. Pakistan, the reigning Champions Trophy champions, would be keen to build on their winning streak in the forthcoming series and go into the competition in prime shape.
