According to Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) chief and league president Rohan Jaitely, Rishabh Pant, Navdeep Saini, and Harshit Rana will appear in the inaugural season of the Delhi Premier League (DPL), which is set to run from 17th August to 8th September 2024. The T20 competition, which will feature both men's and women's matches. It will consist of 40 matches, including 33 games in the men's category and 7 in the women's, and will be coordinated at the Arun Jaitley Arena. Six men's teams were purchased for Rs 49.65 crore at the league's franchise auction, which took place on Sunday.
"Rishabh Pant, Navdeep Saini, Harshit Rana and other Indian players will feature in the inaugural season of DPL. I had a talk with Rishabh Pant and he has promised me to participate in the league but it only depends on his availability and national commitments. But as of now, he will be playing. Navdeep and Harshit will also feature in the league,” said Jaitely at the trophy inauguration ceremony on Friday.

Virender Sehwag becomes Brand Ambassador of DPL
The Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) announced former Indian batting great Virender Sehwag as the brand ambassador for the inaugural season of the Delhi Premier League (DPL). The announcement was made during a grand launch event for the league held in New Delhi. The entire Apex Council of DDCA was present during the occasion.
"I am excited to join the Delhi Premier League as its brand ambassador. Delhi has always been close to my heart, and I believe this league will provide a fantastic platform for young and talented cricketers from the region to shine. I look forward to being a part of this exciting journey and contributing to the growth of cricket in the Capital," said Sehwag.
