India’s wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has stormed into the top 10 of ICC Test batter rankings. Pant jumped six places to share the seventh spot with skipper Shubman Gill. They have 711 rating points each. Also, New Zealand's Daryl Mitchell moved up three places to ninth position without playing a Test. India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sri Lanka's Kamindu Mendis and Dinesh Chandimal slipped out of top 10.
Pant had followed up the 39-run knock with a crucial 66 in the Galle Test. He may narrow the gap with sixth-placed New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra as he scored a half-century in the Colombo Test as well.

Green, Shafique, Rahul rise
Australia's Cameron Green registered a massive gain of nine places with a century against Bangladesh in the Mackay Test to help his side level the series 1-1.Despite Pakistan's defeat, their top-order batter Abdullah Shafique climbed seven places to 27th alongside Afghanistan's Rahmat Shah. Shafique had followed up an unbeaten 160 against West Indies with a half-century against England at Headingley, Leeds.

KL Rahul missed his ton in Galle but he moved five places to enter top 30.
Big losses for Jadeja, Shakeel, Litton and Haque
India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja couldn't make an impact in the Galle Test registering scores of 13 and 9. He lost seven places to 29th. Pakistan's Saud Shakeel scored five runs and followed it up with 14 on his Test comeback, slipping seven spots to 33rd.
Bangladesh's Litton Das was called in as an injury replacement and registered three ducks in a row on Australian soil. He moved down six places to 34th. After useful contributions in historic Darwin Test win, Mominul Haque lost five places and is now placed 36th.
Dinusha jumps 49 places
With a century and half-century in Galle, Sri Lanka's Sonal Dinusha made a huge jump of 49 places to 54th. He is set to climb several places again, having scored a ton in Colombo Test as well.
Meanwhile, the in-form Devdutt Padikkal has re-entered Test rankings and taken the 59th place.
