Saina Nehwal was being trolled for her remark on Javelin.

She gave back the trollers a savage reply.

After revealing that she was unaware that the javelin is a sport until Neeraj Chopra won a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics, Indian badminton star Saina Nehwal became the target of trolls. Saina's comments welcomed a lot of trolls, with a few mocking her for her lack of information about sports, and calling her 'Kangna Ranaut of sports'.

"When Neeraj won, that is when I got to know that athletics has got this game, too. You’ll gain knowledge only when you see it, right? If you don’t see, how will you know? I did not know about javelin throw. Frankly, I didn’t know," Nehwal had said in a podcast with Shubhankar Mishra.

Saina, who played three Olympics and won a bronze medal at the London Olympics in 2012, gave a splendid answer to the trollers and said that comparison with Kangna is actually a compliment. She hit back at the trollers saying it is not difficult to give a remark from home but it is hard to play the games. She reminded the trolls that she had won an Olympic gold and was World No. 1.

"Thanks for the compliment. Kangana is beautiful, but I had to be perfect in my sport and I proudly achieved world number 1 and Olympic medal in badminton for my country. Again I will say this ghar pe baith ke comment karna easy hai and sports khelna difficult [I’ll say it again, it’s easy to comment from home, but playing sports is difficult]," wrote Nehwal on X.

Neeraj Chopra, on the other hand, was unable to defend his gold medal from the Tokyo Olympics. Neeraj came in second place to Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem, who became the nation's first individual gold medalist in Olympic history. Neeraj won the silver medal, which was as yet a stupendous accomplishment as he joined an intriguing rundown of Indian sportspersons with different Olympic medals.
