Young India batter Sarfaraz Khan failed to perform in the recent outing of the Buchi Babu tournament against Haryana. He is currently leading Mumbai in the ongoing Buchi Babu tournament. The batter just scored 37 runs in the first innings of the first match. While chasing 409 runs against Haryana, Mumbai managed to score just 245 runs.  Opener Akhil Herwadkar was Mumbai's highest run-getter he scored 55 runs.


Sarfaraz faced 95 balls and smashed four fours. His brother Musheer played 70 balls and hit one boundary. Playing follow-on, Mumbai lost both the openers for 25 runs in the second innings too but Musheer (37) and Siddhesh Lad (16) handled the innings and took the score to 83. Dhiru Singh was the highest scorer in Haryana's innings who played an innings of 147 runs, while Nishant Sindhu scored 91 and Lakshya scored 75 runs.

Will Sarfaraz feature for India in the upcoming Test series

 

Sarfaraz Khan was last featured for India in the Test series against England and now as the Test series against Bangladesh is coming in the batter will look to give his best to get selected in the squad for the home series. There are chances that he will miss the spot because the star players like of Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant are fit and most likely to feature in the upcoming Test series.

 

Sarfaraz made his India debut during England's tour of India where Virat Kohli missed the entire series due to family duties.

 

India vs Bangladesh schedule

 

India will host Bangladesh for the three-match Test series which is scheduled to start from 19 September after that the Men in Blue will face New Zealand and after that India will travel to Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024 where India look to win that to make winning hattrick. India veteran speedster Mohammed Shami will also be seen in action in the upcoming Test assignments.
