Sarfaraz Khan has undergone an incredible body transformation

Sarfaraz wasn't selected in India's squad for the England Test series

Ignored India star Sarfaraz Khan has undergone a stunning body transformation and he has done so by losing 17 kg. The batter did feature for India A recently against the England Lions in a red-ball match and despite playing a tremendous knock of 92 there, he wasn't brought into India's squad for the ongoing Test series against England. He even got dropped in the second match of the series and was replaced by KL Rahul.

Sarfaraz last played a Test match for India in November, 2024

Despite performing rather consistently for the national team, Sarfaraz was dropped from the side's Test squad following the Border-Gavaskar series 2024/25 against Australia and has not been called back since. When he was in the national team, one of the things that the 27-year-old constantly got criticized for was his fitness.

However, Sarfaraz has now given a fitting reply to all his doubters by undergoing an amazing body transformation which has seen him lose 17 kg. The batter shared a photo from the gym on social media on Monday, leaving all his fans stunned.

Sarfaraz has so far played matches for the national team in only red-ball cricket and is yet to make his debut for them in the white-ball formats. The 27-year-old has played just six Tests so far in his career and has a century along with 3 half-centuries under his name. The batter has got a total of 371 runs under his belt in the format and an average of 37.10. His sole century in Test cricket came in October, 2024 against New Zealand in a match which was held at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium.

It remains to be seen if this body transformation will help Sarfaraz in improving his performance with the bat and if he will be given another chance in the playing XI by the Indian team management in red-ball cricket.

Meanwhile, the fourth Test of the ongoing series between India and England is set to commence from July 23 in Manchester. The Three Lions currently hold a 2-1 lead and it will be crucial for the bMen in Blue to come out victorious at Old Trafford otherwise all their chances of winning the series will fade away. On the other hand, England will be able to seal the series if they manage to get a victory in the upcoming match.
