Legendary Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi and his son-in-law Shaheen Afridi were up against each other during a training session. In a fierce contest of between the present and past stars of Pakistan cricket, Shahid had the last laugh as he belted Shaheen for a massive six. Shaheen, who is out of action since the Men's T20 World Cup after suffering a knee injury during the tournament, was seen sweating it out in the nets as he is gearing up for the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL).

During a warm-up practice outing between the two, while facing Shaheen, Shahid whacked on to an overpitched delivery as the ball sailed over the pacer's head to land over the boundary rope.

Here's the video…

A video clip shared on Twitter showed Shaheen jaywalking towards the bowling crease and delivery the ball. Afridi, who was facing him, latched on to an overpitched delivery as the ball sailed over Shaheen's head and the boundary. Later, another clip showed Afridi bowling to Shaheen with his batting.

Even though Shaheen successfully connected a pull shot, Afridi continued to give him tips: "What is happening now is that your bat is still not coming from behind," Afridi, who was the interim chief of the PCB selection committee, can be heard telling Shaheen. The Pakistan pacer later reshared the clip and wrote: "Always a pleasure playing with you Lala - lekin asal mein woh out tha (But it reality it was out).

Shaheen had resumed rehab with Pakistan's support staff, and could be back to competitive cricket with the upcoming PSL which is slated to start from February 13.

"There were times when I wanted to give up. I was working on only one muscle and it was not improving. Often during the rehabilitation sessions, I used to say to myself 'this is enough, I cannot do this anymore. But then I used to watch my bowling on YouTube and see how well I had done and that motivated me and I told myself 'to push a little more' ... It is frustrating for a fast bowler to miss cricket because of an injury," said Shaheen on YouTube.

Meanwhile, Shaheen tied the knot with legendary Shahid Afridi's daughter Ansha in Karachi on Friday (February 3). Umpteen Pakistani cricketers including current captain Babar Azam were in attendance in the Shaheen's Nikah ceremony to grace the occasion.
