In a series of interesting events, four Indian cricketers are all set to take part in the upcoming edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) after securing contracts. Shikha Pandey, Yastika Bhatia, Pooja Vastrakar and Kiran Navgire will be part of the competition, which is set to get underway on September 6.
Maiden CPL campaign for Pooja and Kiran
Veteran pacer Shikha Pandey will play for the Trinbago Knight Riders along with Yastika Bhatia in the upcoming edition. The tournament will mark Yastika's first appearance in the CPL, while Shikha will return to the competition for her third campaign.

On the other hand, defending champions Barbados Tridents have added Pooja and Kiran to their squads for the upcoming season. Both Indian players will experience the CPL for the first time, with all-rounder Pooja solidifying the pace-attack and hard-hitting Kiran giving additional strength to the batting unit.
Pooja recently made her return to competitive cricket after an extended injury absence that forced her to sit on the sidelines for the big part of 2025. She marked her return in the Women's Premier League (WPL), playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), before joining Chambal Ghariyals in the Madhya Pradesh T20 League.
Big assignment for Kiran
Kiran is the only player among the four without previous experience in an overseas T20 league. Pooja played in Australia's Women's Big Bash League during the 2022-23 season, while Yastika also gained experience in the competition after playing in the 2024-25 season. Shikha, meanwhile, has already featured in several overseas T20 leagues.
