After cracking his ton, Musheer also revealed how he negated Kuldeep Yadav's spin artistry.

Batting sensation Musheer Khan has attributed his match-saving century in the Duleep Trophy to the advice he received from Rishabh Pant. Facing a challenging spell from star spinner Kuldeep Yadav, Musheer's unbeaten 105 rescued India B from a precarious situation. He revealed that Pant, along with Shubman Gill, provided him with valuable insights on how to tackle Kuldeep's left-arm wrist spin. Musheer explained that his approach to the innings was to play close to his body, particularly in the overcast conditions that favored swing and seam movement. This strategy proved effective in countering Kuldeep's threat and securing a crucial victory for India B.

Musheer Khan on how he negated Kuldeep Yadav's spin effect

"I wanted to bat as long as possible without worrying about the runs. I was focusing on playing session by session and playing the ball close to my body to avoid risky shots. I knew the runs would come eventually," Musheer explained during the post-day press meet.

Musheer Khan's innings was significantly aided by a strong partnership with Navdeep Saini. Saini's steady and reliable batting provided crucial support as the two forged an unbroken 108-run stand for the eighth wicket.

"When wickets were falling at the other end, Saini bhai gave me confidence, assuring me he would hold his ground, no matter how many balls he faced. His steady approach helped me focus on building a partnership," Musheer added.

Musheer Khan's ability to effectively counter left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav was a key factor in his successful innings. He scored five of his ten boundaries off Kuldeep, including two consecutive drives down the ground, which he credited to the advice he received from experienced players like Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill.

"This is the second time I've faced Kuldeep bhai. Rishabh bhai and Shubman bhai gave me insights into which deliveries from Kuldeep would be effective and which ones I could score off. Once I got set, batting became easier," he further stated.

"Playing alongside and against senior players is a great experience. Observing their mindset, confidence, and preparation is helping me grow as a cricketer," Musheer concluded.
