In a series of proud events, former India captains Sourav Ganguly and Anjum Chopra were added another big honour to their distinguished careers after being formally inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame on Saturday, July 11. The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the induction through a post on their official X (FKA Twitter), welcoming the two former India skippers into the elite list of cricketing legends.
Sourav Ganguly's illustrious career for India
Gangly played a total of 311 ODIs and 113 Test matches for the Men in Blue. The left-handed batter amassed 7,212 runs and clinched 32 wickets in the longest format of the game. Meanwhile, Ganguly amassed a total of 11,363 runs and picked up 100 wickets in the ODI format.

As captain, he kicked off a new era of Indian cricket with his fearless approach in the overseas tours, famously leading the team to the final of the 2003 ICC Men's ODI World Cup where they lost against Australia. He selected a bunch of fresh faces, who went to play a big role in India's iconic 2011 ODI World Cup triumph.
Anjum Chopra's iconic international career
On the other hand, Anjum Chopra played a total of 12 Tests, 127 ODIs and 18 T20Is while representing the Indian Women's cricket team from February 1995 to March 2012. During her long international career, Anjum managed to amass 548 runs in Tests, 2,856 runs in the ODI format and 241 runs in T20Is. With the ball, she clinched two wickets in Tests and four in ODIs.
