For a leader, I think it's important for him to try and lead from the fron: Rohit Sharma

"For a leader, I think it's important for him to try and lead from the front, set an example for the rest of your colleagues and teammates. And for me, it's always been important that I have always carried myself in a way where I try and set an example for my colleagues. It is not just about what you do on the field, it is also about what you do off the field as well," said Rohit on his leadership.

Rohit Sharma emphasized the importance of treating his teammates like family. He believes in fostering a sense of brotherhood within the team, where everyone shares equal responsibility and feels valued. This approach has resonated with many young players, including Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal, who have frequently praised Rohit's supportive and big-brotherly demeanor. They admire his ability to treat everyone equally and create a harmonious team environment.

"And I treat them like family, like brothers you know because as much as you are part of this team, they share equal responsibility and equal share in the team, to be part of that team. So you have got to make them feel homely, you have got to make them feel that you are wanted here," Rohit Sharma added further.

Despite reaching the WTC final twice in 2021 and 2023, they have yet to secure the title.

Rohit Sharma was overcome with emotion after India's T20 World Cup victory. He expressed the immense desire and determination he had to win the title for his country.
