The International Cricket Council (ICC) has reportedly marked February 19 to March 9 as the 20-day window for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 which is scheduled to take place in Pakistan reported Cricbuzz.
Since India refused to send their team to Pakistan last year for the Asia Cup now there are chances that the Champions Trophy will also take place in a hybrid model unlike Asia Cup 2023.
However, BCCI will decide whether to send team India to Pakistan or not after the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024.
"We will have some idea in the next two months. Clarity is expected by the ICC annual conference in Colombo in July. By then, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is expected to have a better understanding of thegovernment's policy towards the tournament" said an informed source to cricbuzz.
The last edition of the tournament was hosted by England where Pakistan won the final defeating arch-rivals India by 180 runs at The Oval.
Meanwhile, team India by Rohit Sharma is currently in the USA for the T20 World Cup where they won their first clash beating Ireland and now they will face arch-rivals Pakistan for the second match of the tournament which will take place at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York.
India vs Pakistan head-to-head
This is the eighth time India and Pakistan will face each other in a T20 World Cup match. If we take a look at the head-to-head of both teams, Men in Blue holds the edge by winning six out of seven outings against arch-rivals in the mega tournament. Pakistan registered their historic 10 wickets win against India in 2021.
