Young batter from Andhra Pradesh Vamsi Krishna smashed Railways spinner Damandeep Singh for six sixes in an over, which is considered one of the rarest occurrences in cricket. He achieved this feat during the Colonel CK Nayudu trophy match in Vizag against Railways on February 21.
Here is a list of the batters who have hit six sixes in an over in international cricket or domestic cricket.
1. Garry Sobers
West Indian legend Sir Garfield Sobers is regarded as one of the greatest all-rounders to ever play the game. He was also the first-ever batter to smash six sixes in an over. While playing for Nottinghamshire, he smashed Glamorgan bowler Malcolm Nash for six sixes. He achieved this historical feat on August 31, 1968.
2. Ravi Shastri
Former Indian cricketer Ravi Shastri, who has been associated with the game as a player, broadcaster, and has also coached the Indian cricket team, was also one of the players who hit six sixes in an over. Shastri smashed six sixes during a Ranji Trophy match between Bombay (now Mumbai) and Baroda, where he smashed spinner Tilak Raj for six sixes. He achieved this feat on January 19, 1985.
3. Herschelle Gibbs
The attacking South African batter was the first player to achieve this feat in international cricket. The South African took on Netherlands bowler Daan van Bunge during the 2007 ODI World Cup held in the Caribbean, hitting six sixes in an over on March 16, 2007. Gibbs remains the only batter to hit six sixes in an over in the 50-over World Cup.
4. Yuvraj Singh
During India's win in the 2007 T20 World Cup, the highlight of the tournament for many was the six sixes hit by all-rounder Yuvraj Singh against England. On September 19, 2007, Yuvraj smashed Stuart Broad for six sixes in an over after exchanging words with England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff in the previous over. The left-handed batter also scored the fastest-ever T20 fifty in just twelve balls during that innings.

5. Ross Whiteley
Worcestershire's Ross Whiteley hit six sixes in an over as he smashed left-arm spinner Karl Carver during Worcestershire's match against Yorkshire in the T20 Blast on July 23, 2017.
6. Hazratullah Zazai
Afghanistan batter Hazratullah Zazai smashed left-arm spinner Abdullah Mazari for six sixes in an over during an Afghanistan Premier League (APL) match on October 14, 2018.
7. Kieron Pollard
Former West Indies captain Kieron Pollard, who is known as a big power hitter, smashed Sri Lankan spinner Akila Dananjaya on March 3, 2021, during a T20I series.
8. Jaskaran Malhotra
United States batter Jaskaran Malhotra smashed six sixes in an over against Papua New Guinea bowler Gaudi Toka on September 9, 2021.
9. Ruturaj Gaikwad
On November 28, 2022, Indian batter Ruturaj Gaikwad became the first player to hit seven sixes in an over during Maharashtra's Vijay Hazare Trophy match with Uttar Pradesh. He smashed left-arm spinner Shiva Singh as he scored 220 runs in the innings. Shiva overstepped on the fifth ball of the over which was also hit for a six.
