The root of their disagreement can be traced back to a contentious IPL 2023 match between Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Lucknow Super Giants. The match witnessed a tense exchange between the two players, nearly leading to a post-game confrontation. This incident garnered significant attention and became one of the IPL season's most-discussed controversies.

However, the discord was put to rest in a display of sportsmanship and mutual respect at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The moment of reconciliation happened when Naveen approached Kohli as Rohit Sharma was returning to the pavilion. The two cricketers shook hands, exchanged smiles, and embraced, signaling an end to their feud. This moment was warmly appreciated by the spectators and commentators, with Ravi Shastri humorously remarking on the incident during the broadcast.

In a conversation with the Lucknow Super Giants, Naveen shared insights into the support the Afghan team received in India, likening it to a home-like atmosphere.

"We got support in every game apart from that one game against India. Rather than that, we got a home kind of a feeling," said Naveen.

He also detailed how Kohli took the lead in resolving their conflict. According to Naveen, Kohli expressed his intention to put their past differences behind them. Kohli assured him that it would be the last time Naveen would hear his name in a negative light, indicating that the crowd would begin to support him henceforth.

"He told me 'let's finish it.' I said yeah let's finish it. We laughed about it, we hugged and moved on. He also said that after this you won't hear my name. You will only hear support from the crowd," said Naveen.

This gesture of reconciliation between Kohli and Naveen highlights the spirit of camaraderie and respect that transcends on-field rivalries and underscores the capacity for sports to bridge divides and foster unity. The resolution of their feud not only exemplified personal growth but also sent a positive message to cricket fans worldwide.
