Former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh, who stepped in with relief measures for his flood-ravaged home state, Punjab, recently visited the village Pindi Saida in the border Area of Amritsar for flood rehabilitation work along with Five Rivers Foundation.
Harbhajan, who was part of India's 2011 World Cup-winning squad, earlier sanctioned eight steamer boats for relief operations and added three more from his own resources. The legendary spinner took his 'X', formerly known as Twitter, to share a clip of his visit and thanked everyone for their contributions to the flood-affected Punjab.
"Visited the village Pindi Saida in border Area Amritsar for flood rehabilitation work along with Five Rivers Foundation. We were able to send two ambulances from Tera Tera Foundation, and I want to sincerely thank everyone who contributed. Because of your support, we were able to provide not only 2 ambulances but also petrol, diesel, clothes, medicines and food for those in need. A special mention to Dr. Swaiman Singh and the incredible team of doctors from Five Rivers Foundation, who are volunteering their time and expertise to ensure people remain safe, healthy, and hygienic during this crisis.
We will continue to do everything possible to help put Punjab back on track. Please keep supporting the people of Punjab in this difficult time. Waheguru Mehar Kare" Harbhajan Singh wrote on 'X'.
