Former Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni was spotted along with his family swarmed with a huge crowd in Ranchi when he cast his vote for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. The 42-year-old wicket-keeper batter is currently in his hometown after his team Chennai Super Kings (CSK) failed to qualify for the Playoffs of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
The crowd went crazy after their favorite arrived at the polling booth to cast his vote, the video of the cricketing great has gone viral, here is the clip.
MS Dhoni Score in IPL 2024
Dhoni is one of the most successful captains in the history of cash-rich league. Under his captaincy, CSK won five trophies which is joint most by any team. In IPL 2024 he scored 161 runs in 14 IPL matches with an average of 53.67 and has a strike rate of 220.55. He was seen limping in the ongoing season of the tournament because he went under the knife for his knee surgery last year.
CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan on MS Dhoni's future
Just before the opener clash of the IPL 2024 clash, Dhoni left the captaincy and announced Ruturaj Gaikwad as his successor for CSK and there were reports that this will be his last tournament as a player considering his age. However, he hasn't confirmed anything so far. CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan is hopeful that Dhoni will be available for CSK in the next season.
"I do not know. It is a question which only MS can answer. The question for us, we have always respected the decisions taken by MS. We have left it to him," he said to a question on CSK's YouTube channel.
"As all of you know, he has always taken his decisions and announced them at the appropriate time. We do expect that we will get a decision as and when he decides.
"But we are very, very hopeful that he will be available for CSK the next year. That is the view and expectations of the fans and mine."

The Election Commission of India hailed MS Dhoni for casting his vote they shared his photo and captioned."Thala for a reason !! Dhoni hits a six for democracy by casting his vote along with his family."
