The former Pakistan captain is currently involved in a practice session for the upcoming Champions Cup 2024 which is scheduled to start from September 12. Pakistan are hosting a white ball domestic tournament which will be played in ODI format to prepare for the Champions Trophy 2025 which will be hosted by Pakistan next year.
A video of fan is going viral on social sphere where he breached the ground security to meet Babar Azam. Babar who was sitting on a chair calmly hugs that fan before security intervenes. Here is the clip.

Babar Azam's last outing in cricket
Babar Azam was recently involved in the Test series against Bangladesh where the Shan Masood-led side failed to perform which helped Bangladesh to register 2-0 maiden Test win against Pakistan. Babar was failed to score runs in two Test match series he just scored 64 runs in two innings against the neighbouring nation.
Pakistan Cricket are also on a major downfall since the T20 World Cup 2022 final, they failed to perform in the ODI World Cup and they suffered the biggest loss against non-Test playing nation USA in T20 World Cup 2024.
Babar Azam has struggled to find form, with no centuries to his name since December 2022. His recent performance in the final Test innings against Bangladesh marked his 16th consecutive innings without reaching fifty runs in the red-ball format.
Babar Azam is currently preparing for the Champions Cup where he will represent Stallions as a player under Mohammad Haris's captaincy.
