India batting great Virat Kohli is currently featuring for Delhi in a Ranji Trophy match against Railways at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. The former India captain made his Ranji comeback more than a year after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) issued 10-point guidelines where they made it mandatory for national players to feature in domestic cricket when they are out of international action. 

Kohli who is known for his aggressive captaincy was seen giving pep talk to his team after they bowled out Railways on day 1 of the clash. The clip of India's star discussing with the team goes viral, here is the video. 

Kohli made his comeback in Ranji after he failed to perform in Australia during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. The batting great smashed an unbeaten ton in the first Test but he failed to get the momentum for the other matches as he ended the series scoring 190 runs in five Test outings.

Kohli made his Ranji comeback after 2012. He last featured for Delhi in Ranji was back in November 2012 against Uttar Pradesh where he he just scored 14 and 42 runs in both innings by pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Kohli's first-ever Ranji outing came in the 2006/07 Ranji season. The batter did rather decently, scoring 257 runs in six matches and nine innings at an average of 36.71, with a best score of 90 and two half-centuries.

Overall in his Ranji career, Kohli has scored 1,573 runs at an average of 50.77, with five centuries and six fifties in 23 matches.

Coming back to the match, Navdeep Saini's three fer followed by Siddhant Sharma and Money Grewal's two individual wickets helped Delhi to bundle out Railways on just 241 runs on Day 1 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
