Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja has made yet another unsubstantiated controversy by suggesting that football star Cristiano Ronaldo's diet is made by scientists from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Raja's statement, which was made on Suno News, has gone viral on social media, leading to mockery from fans worldwide.
Interestingly, Pakistan faced disappointment in the ODI World Cup 2023, failing to qualify for the semi-finals. However, the tournament was marked by bizarre remarks from Pakistani cricket experts throughout the tournament, including claims that the ICC provided special balls to Indian bowlers for increased swing or modified the pitch to favour certain teams.
In the realm of football, Cristiano Ronaldo, a global icon, is celebrated for his exceptional fitness at the age of 36. His fitness regime and diet plan are as noteworthy as his football prowess, exemplifying the significance of stamina and strength in athletic success.
Ronaldo's fitness routine incorporates a diverse range of exercises, from high-intensity cardio to plyometrics, emphasizing muscular strength, speed, and flexibility. Beyond conventional gym workouts, he includes Pilates and swimming in his training sessions.
His dietary habits are equally integral to his fitness. Ronaldo adheres to a high-protein diet, featuring lean meats and vegetables while minimizing sugar and processed foods. This approach ensures a balance between essential nutrition and caloric intake. Adequate sleep and hydration are additional pillars of his fitness routine.
Despite the age factor, Ronaldo continues to impress on the football field, scoring 46 goals and providing 12 assists in the current season. He ranks as the third-highest scorer in the Premier League, trailing only Erling Haaland and Harry Kane. In recent EURO 2024 Qualifiers, Portugal triumphed over Lichtenstein and Iceland with Ronaldo contributing a goal and an assist in the 2-0 victories.
