Younis Khan requests Virat Kohli to come and play in Pakistan.

The Indian cricket team is unlikely to travel to Pakistan for the upcoming edition of the ICC Champions Trophy despite efforts from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to convince the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). This is also one of the biggest topics of discussion in the cricketing world. Amidst all this, former Pakistan captain Younis Khan has requested star Indian batter Virat Kohli to come to Pakistan for the mega tournament which is currently set to be hosted by them in their country.

Younis Khan requests Virat Kohli to come to Pakistan

Legendary Pakistan cricketer Younis Khan said that the only thing left in Virat Kohli's career is to play and perform in Pakistan. Virat did tour Pakistan with the U-19 team in 2006 but has never traveled for the neighbouring country since making his debut in the senior Men's team.

"Virat Kohli should come to Pakistan for the 2025 Champions Trophy, it's our wish too. I think the only thing left in Kohli's career is to tour Pakistan and perform in Pakistan," Younis Khan to News 24.

Shahid Afridi asks Virat to come play in Pakistan

Apart from Younis Khan, many former cricketers have urged the Indian batting maestro to come and play in Pakistan. Legendary Shahid Afridi even said that Virat will forget the love and hospitality he gets in India if he travels to Pakistan.

"I will welcome Team India. Even when Pakistan used to tour, we received a lot of respect and love from India, and when India came in 2005-06, all their players enjoyed it. There is no better advent of peace than India and Pakistan going to each other's country and playing cricket. If Virat Kohli comes to Pakistan, he'll forget the love and hospitality of India. He has his own class," Shahid Afridi told News 24.

When Pakistan hosted the Asia Cup 2023, a similar problem arose and the tournament was hosted in a hybrid model. All of the India's matches and the crucial semi-final and the final matches were played in Sri Lanka instead of Pakistan.
