India batting all-rounder Tilak Varma confirmed that the destructive opener Abhishek Sharma has been discharged from the hospital ahead of the team's T20 World Cup 2026 clash against Namibia, which will take place on February 12 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
Notably, the southpaw suffered a stomach infection, and he is doubtful for India's second group stage match. In India's T20 World Cup 2026 opener against the USA, he was dismissed for a golden duck. He did not field as Sanju Samson came on as a substitute.
