India's campaign at the Commonwealth Games 2026 gathers momentum on Friday, July 24, with athletes competing across multiple disciplines, including gymnastics, swimming, boxing, lawn bowls and para powerlifting.
The biggest medal opportunities for India will come in para powerlifting, where Ashok Kumar Malik, Parmjeet Kumar, Jaspreet Kaur, Suman Devi, Kasthuri Rajamani, Jhandu Kumar and Sudhir will all be in action.
Meanwhile, lawn bowls duo Rupa Rani Tirkey and Pinki will be looking to continue their winning run after beginning their campaign with a victory on Thursday. Boxer Jadumani Singh will also begin his campaign, while Indian gymnasts and swimmers will aim to progress deeper into their respective events.

India eye another medal haul
India will be hoping for another productive day in Glasgow, with multiple medal events lined up in para powerlifting and the men's gymnastics team final. Apart from the medal rounds, Indian athletes will also be aiming to secure qualification for the later stages in swimming and para swimming, while Jadumani Singh begins his boxing campaign hoping to progress to the next round.
