The FIFA World Cup 2026 knockout match between England and Mexico has been postponed by one hour due to severe weather conditions in the Mexican capital. The game, originally scheduled to kick off at 18:00 local time (01:00 BST), will now start at 19:00 local time. 

FIFA World Cup’s official social media handle announced the delay. The handle mentioned that due to the severe weather conditions, the match “has been delayed to 19.00 local time (21:00 EDT).” This means, in India, the match will kick off at 6:30 AM IST.

Meanwhile, the winner of England vs Mexico will face Norway after Erling Haaland’s brace powered the side to the quarter-finals. They are coming off defeating five-time champions Brazil by a score of 2-1.
