However, former Barcelona player Mathieu Jeremy has another opinion as he believes he was better than him in the free kicks.

At the end of his career, Mathieu joined Barcelona and got to play three seasons alongside Lionel Messi. Before playing for the Catalan club, He cemented himself as one of the important players in Valencia between 2009 and 2014.

The French player took a cheeky dig at Lionel Messi saying he was better than the Argentine when it comes to taking the free kicks.

He just needs one free-kick goal to level with Brazilian icon Pele, who scored 70 goals through free-kicks. Brazil's Juninho stands tall at the first place with 77 free-kick goals.
