Barcelona's star midfielder Pedri could come back to action for the La Liga game against Levante on February 22. The Euro 2024 winner has missed the last four games because of a hamstring injury.
Pedri's importance in Barcelona
Pedri, 23, has been a pivotal piece for Hansi Flick's team in the middle of the pitch this season, scoring two goals and eight assists in 25 games across all competitions. Both goals and five of the assists have come in 16 fixtures in La Liga, where the Blaugrana lead the standings after 22 games.
In the 4-2 UEFA Champions League league phase victory against Slavia Praha last month, Pedri picked up a hamstring injury, coming off just after the hour mark.
Pedri's come back on the cards?
So far, Pedri has missed four games across all competitions for Barcelona. He is set to miss two more La Liga games and the Copa del Rey semi-final first leg clash against Atletico Madrid before coming back for the Levante game in La Liga, as per MD.
Next games for Barcelona
Barcelona are enjoying a great season so far under the guidance of former Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick, who had led the Catalan club to a domestic treble in his first campaign in Spanish football last season.
Flick's side are on a course for a quadruple, having won the Supercopa Espana earlier this year by defeating arch-rivals Real Madrid in the final. They have also reached the UEFA Champions League knockouts and the last four in Copa del Rey and lead the La Liga table.
After a 2-1 win against Albacete in Copa del Rey quarter-final at Albacete in midweek, the Blaugrana comeback to La Liga duty this weekend, hosting Real Mallorca at home on Saturday, February 7.
After four days, they will visit Atletico Madrid for the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final before travelling to Girona on February 16.
