Cristiano Ronaldo’s interview with Piers Morgan is once again all over the internet as the Portuguese star went fully unfiltered in the conversation with the British journalist. The former Real Madrid legend had this shocking revelation, where he said that he almost joined a rival team.

During his conversation with Piers Morgan, Ronaldo revealed that he could have become a player of Arsenal. He said during the interview:
“It’s true story. I was close to joining Arsenal many years ago… but it’s the past”.
The Saudi League Pro star also stated that he likes the Gunners and doesn't consider them as rivals.
“Honestly, when I look at Arsenal, I'm always looking at them not like a rival. I like the team, I like them!”
Ronaldo believes this ‘could be’ Arsenal’s year
Ronaldo is hopeful of Mikel Arteta’s side and believes this “could be” the year for the Premier League side. He team has made an outstanding start to the season and is in the middle of a nine-game winning streak in all competitions. They are also sitting comfortably on top of the Premier League table with a six-point lead.
Speaking on the possibility of Arsenal winning the Premier League this year, following their stunning form, Ronaldo, during the aforementioned interview, said:
“It’s possible. I think the PL, the level of the teams is very, very similar, the top ones. The Premier League, you never know what’s going to happen because it’s a very tough league.”

The former Manchester United icon further said:
“It’s possible for Arsenal. [Will they?!] Probably. They can do it. It’s possible. Let’s see.”
On the other hand, talking about his beloved club, the 40-year-old expressed his fear for the Red Devils. During the interview with Morgan, Ronaldo said that the team “dont have a structure” and the team “need to change”. However, despite this, the former player of the team expressed his love for the club and stated that it will always be in his heart.
