Chelsea got positive news of Cole Palmer's injury; however, the player was involved in an accident at his home, which is not major, though. The Blues are set to host FC Barcelona in their upcoming fixture of the ongoing UEFA Champions League 2025-26 season. Fans are curious to know if the star player will feature in the eagerly awaited clash. Let us have a look.

Is Cole Palmer playing UCL clash against FC Barcelona? Latest on Chelsea star

No. Cole Palmer will not play against FC Barcelona in the fifth matchday of the Champions League, which will be played at Stamford Bridge on November 25 (November 26 in India). The Blues head coach, Enzo Maresca, revealed during the pre-Burnley press conference that the midfielder will remain sidelined for the clash against Hasi Flick’s side.

Marecsa, during the aforementioned press conference, said:

"He will probably not be available tomorrow, nor for the match against Barcelona or the one against Arsenal.”

The head coach further explained:

“Unfortunately, he had an accident at home where he hit his toe, but it’s nothing serious, although he won’t be back next week.”

Hence, Palmer won't be available for the Premier League clash against Arsenal either. The 23-year-old was nearing full fitness only to fracture his toe in a bizarre accident at home. The player, who had a groin injury in September, could return soon after the clash against the Gunners.

Meanwhile, in the absence of Palmer, Estrevao could be the right fit to play against the Spanish giants in the UCL clash.
