Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe created history during his team's 4-2 winner over Nantes on Saturday. He overtook Edinson Cavani as the highest goalscorer for PSG with his stoppage-time goal, but it was his action after the match that left fans in awe of the 2018 World Cup winner.
The French superstar swapped the shirt that he was wearing when he scored the record goal with Nantes forward Ignatius Ganago, who lost his five-year-old daughter two weeks ago after a fight with illness.
The moment took place in the player's tunnel, moments after Mbappe became Paris Saint Germain’s all-time record goal scorer. His goal took his tally for the club to 201, overtaking previous top scorer Cavani's 200.
In the tunnel footage that’s been doing rounds on social media, Mbappe can be seen swapping shirts with the Cameroon international and embracing him post-match at the Parc des Princes.
Ganago, who missed out on playing his team's Europa League clash against Juventus, was playing his second game after being absent due to the death of his daughter. He was also on the scoresheet for the visitors on the night and had levelled the game 2-2 at one stage.
Mbappe was the fourth goal scorer for PSG on the night that also saw his fellow forward Lionel Messi find the target. The win keeps Paris eight points clear of Marseille at the top of the Ligue 1 table.
