Italy missed yet another qualification for the FIFA World Cup as they did not qualify for the ongoing football major co-hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico. Meanwhile, the Italian football club is not taking it easy this time and has gone on to change many things. Among the many changes is the addition of a legendary player to the management.
Legendary Italian defender Paolo Maldini has been appointed as the new technical director of the Italian national football team. The agreement, confirmed with newly elected FIGC president Giovanni Malagò, positions Maldini at the helm of a comprehensive new project for the Azzurri.

The news was confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. The Italian journalist wrote:
“Paolo Maldini signs in as new Italian National Team technical director, here we go!”
Romano added:
“Agreement done and confirmed for Maldini to lead new Italy project with Giovanni Malagò as FIGC president.”
Maldini, who spent his entire football career with AC Milan, will oversee both the senior squad and youth national teams, marking one of the most significant structural changes in recent Italian football history.
Maldini, who enjoyed an illustrious playing career as the Serie A club captain and Italy international, brings decades of experience from his executive roles at Milan. His appointment is widely viewed as a pivotal step towards stabilising and revitalising the national side following inconsistent results and qualification setbacks in recent years.
