Liverpool FC recently decided to part ways with Arne Slot following a struggling season. The Reds are now looking for a change and are all set to hire a new manager is hope for the glory next season.

Liverpool set to appoint HIM as new manager after Arne Slot's exit

The Premier League side are closing in on Andoni Iraola as his successor, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. The club moved quickly after a disappointing 2025-26 Premier League campaign in which the Reds finished fifth with a low points total, despite Slot delivering the league title in his debut season the year prior.

Iraola, who recently left Bournemouth, is the clear frontrunner for the Anfield job. The Spanish coach is highly regarded for his intense, high-pressing, and attacking style of play. He also has prior connections at the club through Liverpool’s sporting director Richard Hughes.

Negotiations are advancing rapidly, with Liverpool aiming to finalise the appointment before the upcoming World Cup. Iraola is expected to become the club’s new head coach in the coming days. This marks another significant managerial shift for Liverpool as they look to return to the top of English and European football.
