As the new manager is ready for his first match in charge, 11 players were left out of the squad in the Copa del Rey clash. Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham are not in the squad list. First team goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has been listed out along with Rodrygo, Antonio Rüdiger, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Eder Militão, Ferland Mendy, Aurélien Tchouameni, and Alvaro Carreras. Brahim Diaz is also left out as he plays for the AFCON.

Alvaro has Vinicius Jr and Fede Valverde from the 1st team, while he will be playing seven youth academy talents. Alvaro was appointed as the head coach ofnthe Spanish giants immediately after the former Bayer Leverkusen boss Alonso. This came after Real Madrid’s 2-3 loss to the arch-rivals FC Barcelona in the Supercopa final.
