Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti has announced a 26-man squad for the October international friendly, and it includes some really big names. The manager has confirmed that several of the Selecao’s biggest names will travel to India for a landmark friendly. The five-time world champions will face the Blue Tigers on 3 October 2026 at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata.
It will be the first senior international meeting between the two nations. Among those selected are Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior and Endrick, Barcelona’s Raphinha, PSG captain Marquinhos, Arsenal’s Bruno Guimaraes and Gabriel Magalhaes, Chelsea’s Estevao and Joao Pedro.

The squad also features a mix of established internationals and emerging talents, and fans are excited to see the clash. Brazil will first play two friendlies against Australia on 25 September in Townsville and 29 September in Brisbane before heading to India. Goalkeepers Alisson and Ederson, along with recently retired star Neymar, are not included.
The fixture has generated huge excitement in Indian football circles. India will view the match as a major test and a rare opportunity to host one of world football’s traditional powerhouses on home soil.
