The UEFA Champions League has confirmed its blockbuster round of 16 matchups following the draw held on February 27, 2026, setting the stage for high-stakes clashes starting next month. 

The most anticipated tie sees Real Madrid drawn against Manchester City, renewing one of European football's fiercest modern rivalries. Additionally, PSG will face Chelsea, and Liverpool travel to Galatasaray. 

The draw, held in Nyon, Switzerland, and announced via the official UEFA Champions League account, produced the following eight two-legged ties, with first legs scheduled for March 10-11, 2026, and second legs scheduled for March 17-18, 2026.

  • Paris Saint-Germain vs Chelsea  
  • Galatasaray vs Liverpool  
  • Real Madrid vs Manchester City  
  • Atalanta vs Bayern Munich  
  • Newcastle United vs Barcelona  
  • Atletico Madrid vs Tottenham Hotspur  
  • Bodø/Glimt vs Sporting CP  
  • Bayer Leverkusen vs Arsenal

The seeded teams, top eight from the league phase, including Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Tottenham, Barcelona, Chelsea, Sporting CP, and Manchester City, were drawn against unseeded qualifiers from the knockout play-offs. 

This format also predetermined the full knockout bracket through to the final, meaning winners advance along fixed paths toward the final match in Munich on May 29 or 30, 2026.
