Ronaldo has recently stated that he might retire from professional football after his marriage to Georgina

Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez have officially married in a private civil ceremony held at their home in Cascais, Portugal, on 11 August 2026. The footballer and the model exchanged vows in the living room of their summer house, joined by their five children and just four witnesses.

The date marked exactly ten years since the couple first met at a Gucci store in Madrid, where Rodríguez was working as a sales assistant. According to details shared with Vogue, the pair deliberately chose a low-key, family-focused event rather than a grand public celebration.

Rodriguez explained that they wanted the ceremony to take place “where we have breakfast, lunch and dinner, and where we live the reality of our lives.” She added that a larger wedding with family and friends is planned for the future. Ronaldo wore a light beige suit with a white T-shirt, while Rodríguez opted for a white ensemble and jewellery.

Family photographs and video clips from the day show the couple and their children together in a relaxed yet formal setting, with moments of hugs, smiles and quiet celebration. The couple, who announced their engagement a year earlier on the same date in 2025, currently live primarily in Riyadh, where Ronaldo plays for Al-Nassr. They have five children between them: Cristiano Jr, twins Eva and Mateo, Alana, and Bella.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo has recently stated that he might retire from professional football after his marriage to Georgina. The Al Nassr superstar had previously confirmed the 2026 FIFA World Cup would be his last. The confirmation came ahead of Portugal’s Round of 16 clash vs Spain, which ended in a 0-1 loss against the eventual World Cup winners.
