'I am grateful to The IOA for considering me': Manu Bhaker shares heartfelt post after IOA gives big honour to India's Paris Olympics twin medallist

Indian star shooter Manu Bhaker who clinched two medals in the Paris Olympics 2024 shared a heartfelt post after she was announced to be India's flagbearer for the Closing Ceremony of the marquee event. Manu created history by clinching two medals in a single edition of games. She won two bronze medals in the ongoing edition.  Manu was the first medal winner for India in a 10 m pistol event in Paris and her second male came in a mixed event with Sarabjot Singh. 

 

Manu thanked the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) for considering him for the flag bearer. She took her 'X' formerly known as Twitter to pen down emotional note.

“It is an honour and privilege to be named as India's flagbearer for the Closing Ceremony of the Paris Olympics. Leading the outstanding Indian contingent with the tricolour in my hands with millions around the world watching is a truly humbling opportunity and one that I will cherish forever. I am grateful to The IOA for considering me worthy of this honour, and I look forward to raising the Indian flag with immense pride. Jai Hind!" posted Manu. 

 

 

Coming back to the ongoing Olympics, India have bagged three medals in the ongoing games and all three medals came in shooting. India's strong medal contender Lakshya Sen got out without winning a medal and on the other hand, the Indian hockey team will face Germany in their semifinal clash and they will look to change the colour of their medal in the ongoing games.
