In a 10-thrower lineup where athletes completed all six of their attempts back-to-back, the Indian duo was saved for last. Juyal laid down the gauntlet immediately, launching a 13.08m opening throw that instantly vaulted him to the lead, with every contestant before him managing to beat only one of his six tries. Though Juyal capped his night with a personal-best mark of 13.28m, it was ultimately Rana who stole the show, snatching the lead and the gold with a monster 13.40m launch on his second attempt.
