Former BCCI treasurer Anirudh Chaudhary filed his nomination from Tosham seat of Bhiwani district for Haryana Assembly Elections 2024. He will be representing Congress against his cousin Shruti Chaudhary. Shruti Chaudhary will represent BJP. Anirudh is the grandson of former Haryana Chief Minister Chaudhary Banshilal. Anirudh Chaudhary also held a big public meeting in Tosham before nomination. In this, he remembered his Bansi Lal and assured to fulfill his dreams. He said that he will seek votes in the name of development in Tosham.
Anirudh is entering the electoral arena for the first time. He has been working as a cricket administrator for a long time. Anirudh has was treasurer of BCCI. He was the manager of the Indian team during the 2009 World Cup and the England tour in 2011. He was also the manager of Team India during the Under 19 World Cup held in New Zealand in 2010. Apart from this, he has been the secretary of Haryana Cricket Association. Anirudh Chaudhary's father Ranbir Mahindra has been the president of BCCI. Mahindra held this post from 2004 to 2005. He has also contested assembly elections. In 2009, he contested from Badhra seat on a Congress ticket.

Anirudh is contesting the assembly elections from Tosham seat, from where his grandfather contested and won elections many times. Apart from being the Chief Minister, he also reached the posts of Railway and Defence Minister at the Centre. Now there is a competition between Banshilal's granddaughter and grandson to carry forward his legacy. In such a situation, the election of Tosham has become interesting. This seat has been with the Congress since the year 2000. Kiran Chaudhary has won the last four elections from here but she has now joined BJP. Her daughter Shruti will now contest elections from here.
