India's pugilists delivered a historic performance, collecting an unprecedented 10 medals—surpassing the previous record of nine set at Gold Coast 2018. Out of those 10 podium finishes, a astonishing seven were gold, making India the most dominant boxing nation at these Games.

Historic feats on the mat: Judo breakthrough

Indian judokas delivered a landmark campaign at the Games, collecting four total podium finishes headlined by two ground-breaking golds. Asmita Dey etched her name into the history books as the first Indian ever to capture a CWG judo title, joining fellow gold medallist Harsh Singh at the top of the podium.

A podium double in Javelin

In athletics, Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra secured his second Commonwealth Games medal, taking home silver in the javelin throw with a season's best effort of 85.83m. He was topped only by Sri Lanka's Rumesh Pathirage, who continued his stellar 2026 form to claim gold with an impressive 89.75m throw. Joining Chopra on the podium was emerging talent Yash Vir Singh, who snatched the bronze medal on his final throw with a career-best distance of 85.41m.

Weightlifting dominance & distance racing double

Mirabai Chanu (Weightlifting): The iconic lifter maintained her total mastery of the Games, securing her fourth consecutive CWG medal and third straight gold. She opened India's gold-medal account in Glasgow by dominating the women's 48kg event with a total lift of 190kg.
