Daniel Cormier On How He Would Have Reacted If He Were In Khabib Nurmagomedov's Position

In the aftermath of what transpired, several reactions flooded the internet, with the majority of the users claiming that Khabib was wronged, and his reaction was justified. While the dust is seemingly yet to settle on the matter, one of Khabib's close friends, Daniel Cormier has expressed his views on the entire affair.

Siding with his chum, DC said that Khabib's conduct was right, and he took the right decision by leaving the plane. However, putting himself in the same situation, the UFC legend stated that if he had faced that then his reaction wouldn't have been cordial like Khabib's and would have resorted to getting thrown off the plane and then taking the next flight just to sit right back at the same seat.

I don’t think he did anything wrong. My pride would have made me get thrown off the flight, to go on a later flight, and guess what I would have done on that later flight? I would’ve sat right back in that exit row, Cormier said on the Good Guy/Bad Guy podcast.

Chael Sonnen also laid out his thoughts on the same podcast and stated that Khabib sitting right next to someone guarantees safety rather than the opposite. Both DC and Sonnen also touched upon the aspect that had Khabib been recognised then he might not have had to face the inconvenience.
